Exporting Notes to CSV
The Export Notes feature lets you download your notes — and, optionally, the emails and texts you've sent through Levitate — as a CSV file. Because large exports can take a moment to generate, the file is made available when it's ready: Levitate emails you a download link, and a Download Now prompt also appears in the app, similar to other exports in Levitate.
How to export notes
- In the left navigation, go to Contacts and open your Notes.
- Set the date range and owner filters you want on the notes view first — the export uses whatever filters you currently have applied (see What the export includes below).
- Click the Export button and select Export Notes.
- In the Export notes dialog, choose whether to Include emails and texts in the report, then click Export.
- Retrieve the file when it's ready — Levitate emails you a download link, and a Download Now prompt also appears in the app.
What the export includes
The export applies the filters you already have set on your notes view, plus one option in the export dialog:

Note: Text search is not applied to exports — only your date range and owner filters carry over.
Row limit
Each export is capped at 10,000 rows. If your current filters match more than 10,000 notes, the export is not generated — you'll see an Export too large message telling you how many notes matched and asking you to narrow your search and try again.
Note: To get under the limit, try one of these:
- Narrow the date range.
- Switch to "Show my notes only" or limit to a specific person.
- Uncheck "Include emails and texts in the report."
How the download is delivered
Exports are processed in the background. When the file is ready, you'll receive an email at the address associated with your account containing a download link for the CSV file. A Download Now prompt also appears in the app when the export is ready — similar to other exports in Levitate — so you can grab the file without leaving Levitate.
CSV columns
The exported file contains the following columns.

| Contacts | The name(s) of the contact(s) the note is attached to. |
| Companies | The company or companies associated with those contacts. |
| City | The city on the contact's record. |
| State | The state on the contact's record. |
| Note Type | Where the note came from — for example, a manually written note, a meeting, a call, or an email or text sent through Levitate. |
| Assigned | The team member who created the note. |
| Comments | The full text of the note. |
| Emails | Primary email address of the contact. |
