About Zapier

What we can pull into Levitate from Bloomerang

Right now, we're able to bring in basic contact information from Bloomerang to Levitate.

  • Name
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number(s)
  • Address Information (Street Address, City, State/Province, Zip/Postal Code, Country)
  • Tags (listed below)

The tags you can add are 'Bloomerang,' 'Status: Status Field,' and 'Type: Type Field.' Status will be something like active, type will be something like client. Adding 'AgencyBloc' as a tag will let us know that the contact has been added from or updated through Zapier.

Currently, we are unable to pull in Key Fact level data (like Birth Date and higher level donor infromation) through Zapier and recommend that you import such information through Spreadsheet Import.

Getting set up

To get set up with Bloomerang + Zapier, you'll need to have login access to Bloomerang.

Once you've confirmed that you have Zapier enabled on your account, you can follow this link to access our Bloomerang + Zapier template, the template saves some time by eliminating the need to manually enter each field that we can pull in and update in Levitate. It will also add the three tags listed above, by default.

First, you'll be asked to sign in to your Bloomerang account.

Once you're logged in, you're able to create one Zap that will both pull in new contacts and update existing contacts through Zapier.

When setting up your Zap, make sure that you appropriately title it!

Once you've either utilized the template linked above or manually entered the fields that you'd like to pull into Levitate, you'll be prompted to enter an API Key from Levitate. You can access it through the drop-down menu under your name on the Levitate Dashboard > Integrations > Manage Keys > Generate Key. Once your API key is generated, you'll copy and paste it in to the pop-up from Zapier.

Read more about this process here.

From there, you will need to run a 'test step,' take a look at the information that is being pulled, and then proceed to publish the Zap. You can turn the Zap on and off at any time, using the toggle switch in the upper right corner of the Zap's page.
