Business Hours: Settings & Management
What are Business Hours and how do they work with Levitate sends?
At Levitate, our goal is to help you build and maintain genuine relationships with your clients, and timing is a big part of that. That’s why we encourage the use of our business hours feature— which allows you to choose when email and text campaigns will start and stop sending based on the day of the week and the time of day.
1. Better Open Rates
Studies show that emails sent during business hours—especially in the mid-morning or early afternoon—are more likely to be opened. That’s when inboxes are actively monitored, and messages aren’t buried under a pile of overnight spam or personal promotions.
2. Professional Context
Business-hour delivery signals that your message is relevant, timely, and professional. If your email is work-related but lands at 9:45 p.m., it can feel out of place or get lost by the time your recipient checks their inbox the next day.
3. Relationship-First Approach
Levitate’s philosophy is about nurturing human connections—not blasting messages at random times. Sending during business hours respects your recipients’ time and increases the chances that your outreach will be read, remembered, and responded to.
How do I manage my Business Hours?
Admins on a Levitate account are able to enable, access, and manage their account's Business Hours. Here's how:
From the Levitate dashboard you will click into the upper right menu under your name and choose Settings
From there, you will click into the Admin tab
And click into the Company Settings
From there, you can enable, access, and manage your account's Business Hours. Keep in mind that these hours apply to all users on an account, and not just you!
When you choose Manage, you'll be able to update hours, add weekend availability, and even set hours day by day.
Once you hit Save, any changes made will now dictate when your emails and text message start to send and stop to send on any given day.
