January 2024 Release Notes

Sending on Holidays

To prevent 'business as usual' messages to go out on calendar holidays like July 4th or Thanksgiving, we've made it so that non-holiday messages do not go out on these days.

This feature will recognize holiday specific sends and not stop them on the day of— but ensure that they do not continue once the holiday is over.

All accounts with business hours enabled will be defaulted to stop sending on the holidays. There is a toggled in Admin, under Settings that allows an account to be opted out of the feature.

Texting & Phone Number Association

Small fix that will allow for numbers that are manually typed in on the texting modal to be associated with a contact, so that texts show up on their contact profile.

Automation Reporting: Click Rates

If an automation step has a clickable link, we are now able to report on clicks for those automations. The ability to track clicks must be turned on via Admin > Settings for this data to be collected.

Stopping automations based on tag changes

Contacts initially pulled in as new clients will now have their pending steps of 'new client' automations stopped if the client tag is removed from their contact profile. This will also work for renewal automations in progress— we will evaluate the tags at each step to ensure that a renewal automation will stop sending to recently inactive clients.

Event Registration: Managing RSVPs

Levitate users will now be able to go into the survey report, for an event, and manage RSVPs manually. This will allow for +1s to be added, after the fact of RSVPing, and for RSVPs themselves to be updated if needed.

Advanced Search

With our new and improved search feature, users are able to search by key fact, and range of key facts, multiple statuses, connections and owners, and by tags.

Redtail Households: update

Small fix to correctly associate household addresses with both members of a household pulled in from Redtail.

Tagging Updates

  1. Only account Administrators will have the ability to delete tags. Users will still have access to the 'Manage Tags' view, via 'Tags & Reports,' but will receive an error message if they attempt to delete a tag.
  2. All Levitate users will no longer be able to delete the 'Unsubscribe' tag— on contact profiles and through the 'Manage Tags' view. Success and Support will still have the ability to edit and manage via Admin.

Edit All for Scheduled Campaigns, with multiple users sending

Now, with scheduled campaigns, for multiple users, the ability to “Edit All” is now live. Instead of going user by user, cancelling and rescheduling, and spending a lot of time updating a scheduled send, use the “Edit All” option to make a change to subject line, content, recipients, and send date and time.

Dashboard Cards

Now, ALL relevant contacts for a Dashboard Card will pull through to the recipient list. Essentially, it will be most impactful for contacts that do not have email addresses, that were previously excluded from Dashboard Card recipient lists.

Social Media

Now, any Administrator is able to edit a scheduled social media post for any other user. Previously, only the ‘poster’ had the ability to edit. This is especially helpful for those posting on behalf of other users!

Company Visibility

Toggle off the ability for accounts to see the ‘Company’ tab when on the Contacts page! There were many requests for this feature– to alleviate confusion on how our companies function within Levitate and with contacts imported from CSV or integration.

Custom HTML Domains

Each new account will be prompted to set up a custom send domain for HTML newsletters, aside from FIN clients that need to send through their own server. A ‘suggested domain’ will show, but each account will be able to type in their own domain choice. Each account is allotted one domain, as we must purchase the input custom domain. We will also be moving away from the generic ‘send through Levitate’ domains.

Each account having their own custom domain will allow a higher send limit, rather than them all sending out via the Levitate.email domain we currently send all newsletters through. All existing accounts will be assigned an HTML domain.
